ANNUAL CONFERENCE
On May 3rd, 1999 the first Virginia Association of Regional Jails annual conference was held at the Fort Magruder Inn in Williamsburg, VA. This event turned out to be an overwhelming success. With over 240 in attendance and over 50 vendor exhibits, plans were made to continue this yearly gathering.

Join us for the 2025 VARJ Annual Conference, April 7-10, 2025 in Virginia Beach! This year’s conference will feature a host of presenters to discuss emerging issues and hot topics, provide training on critical practices and much more! Additionally, we are looking forward to informal networking with VARJ’s partners and colleagues from across the Commonwealth.

REGISTRATION
Member registration for this year’s conference should be completed ONLINE HERE. The conference registration fee for agencies is $1,000. This includes participation in all aspects of the conference for staff attendees. The conference registration fee for individuals is $200 and the nonmember rate is $325.

HOTEL INFORMATION
Conference registrants are required to book their own hotel rooms. VARJ has reserved a block of rooms at discounted rates for agency members and partners at the conference location (Marriott Oceanfront) at a discounted rate with 72-hour cancellation, standard parking rate, and the resort fee is waived upon check-in.
You will receive a link to reserve your room at the discounted rate upon submission of your conference registration. Please reserve your room by the March 10, 2024 cutoff date.
2025 VARJ GOLF TOURNAMENT

VARJ PARTNERS
We invite VARJ’s partners to attend the 2025 VARJ Annual Conference! This year’s conference will provide partners with access to superintendents and staff of Virginia’s Regional Jails. Additionally, partners will have various opportunities to engage through workshops, speaking opportunities, advertising, and informal networking.

We invite VARJ’s partners to attend the 2025 VARJ Annual Conference! This year’s conference will provide partners with access to superintendents and staff of Virginia’s Regional Jails. Additionally, partners will have various opportunities to engage through workshops, speaking opportunities, advertising, and informal networking.

VARJ is providing various opportunities for partner engagement through our 2025 Partnership Opportunities Program. This program provides specific details on each of the opportunities provided to each of our partners. For more information on this year’s partnerships, (CLICK HERE). All partners must register for the conference through our online registration system, HERE. Registered partners will receive a table in our vendor expo as well as access to all sessions and meals offered as a part of the conference registration. Diamond, Platinum, Gold, and Silver partners receive complimentary registrations as follows:

Gold - 2 Complimentary Registrations
Platinum - 3 Complimentary Registrations
Silver - 1 Complimentary Registrations
**Additional registrations can be purchased for $500/person.
ELECTRICITY:
All exhibitors can reserve electricity for $50. To reserve electricity for your table, please do so through the online registration system link above at the time of registration.
EXHIBITOR HOURS:
Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM
​Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM
DISPLAY FURNITURE:
Each vendor will be supplied with 1 – topped table and 2 chairs. Diamond and Platinum partners will receive two tables for a “large” exhibit space.
EXHIBITOR MOVE-IN HOURS:
Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 12:30PM to 4:00PM
All exhibits must be completely installed by: 4:00PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025
EXHIBITOR MOVE-OUT HOURS:
Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 2:30PM to 5:00PM
​All equipment & exhibit materials must be completely removed from the show floor by: 5:00PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
